“Memories of mad desire
Hoping that this love will last forever”

Teldec’s fourth and final digital sampler of 1985 is a non-stop selection of 12″ cuts. It works well as a companion disc to Power Of Love. The 10 track selection was compiled and mixed by Ingo V. Vorkampff-Laue. The full extended versions are not used in their entirety – shortened for mixing – but the clips outlined below are the unedited 12″ mixes.

Moti Special’s Cold Days, Hot Nights is serious synth heat which then blends into Creative Connection’s spacey cover of Modern Talking’s You’re My Heart, You’re My Soul. We get a 5:20 edit of the Special Disco Version. Cut up with the new wave sound of Fun Fun’s Give Me Your Love. The non-stop megamix continues with Patrick Gammon’s pounding disco number Help Me. Next comes the ultimate pelvic thrusting spectacular: Billy Ocean’s cool dawn beat of Loverboy specially extended for club play.

Den Harrow’s Mad Desire is lustful Italo perfection that’s exactly the right tempo. It’s followed by Bolland’s rock-influenced Imagination before Canton’s urban easy funk of Please Don’t Stay. Meanwhile Silver Pozzoli’s incomparably great Around My Dream is an essential component of this trip. The gold standard. The set then concludes with the funky Italo sound of Fire Fry taking the opposite position to Canton on Stay (No Time).
