Paul’s Yet More Forgotten ’80s

Just like Paul’s Still More Forgotten ’80s, there are no chart restrictions on this new series of 100 forgotten singles. As always, your mileage may vary. Part 1 focuses on a wide variety of tunes from 1984 to 1989 – covering off the later part of 6th class leading into the entire secondary school era and slightly beyond. The heart of sophisti-pop beats on Part 2 along with some worldly excursions while the third part has a decidedly political slant. Part 4 looks to Europe and particularly the Italo sound of the mid-1980s. Many of these songs were played at Genazzano’s open air disco during August 1986. We go dark for Part 5 and celebrate a number of goth & hairspray classics. Memories of Club 19, Cheers in Charles Street, Rosbercon Youth Club disco and those all important pre-boozing bedroom spins.
